Fine art oil paintings existed as far back as the ancient Egyptians and Romans. Although the science of oil painting in fine art was lost to the Dark ages, Renaissance painters eventually reconstructed oil painting formulas to solve inherent problems with existing techniques. Fine art oil paintings became prevalent because of their versatility. With linen and canvas supports, oil paintings of fine art could be any size, and moved any where.

The luminosity, permanency and textural qualities of fine art oil paintings made them the medium of choice. Many subsequent techniques and styles emanated from the Renaissance revolution. In my fine art oil painting pursuits I build on this heritage.

Figurative fine art oil paintings dominated Western art until the 20th century. Then abstract oil paintings became fine art, along with a host other medium. In the so called "Post modern" era of today, figurative fine art oil painting has made a comeback. My

work celebrates all of this in my own eclectic fashion. Oil painting is fine art for me; timeless, beautiful and deep.
